In an interview with the Los Angeles Times after her husband’s death, the tv executive spoke about the impact that Steven had on the television industry. “He was a pioneer in many ways,” she said. “He wasn’t afraid to push the envelope and tell stories that were uncomfortable, controversial, or different. He was always looking for what was fresh and new, and he wasn’t afraid to take risks.”
